What are default services and administrative interfaces in system?
After installing Coremail,the system will provide default SMTP (port 25), POP3 (port 110), Webmail service and Webadmin administration. Users can use email clients and Webmail to receive and send mails, besides£¬users can manage mail system via Webadmin.

What is the command of system service link?
You can restart Coremail, when Coremail is abnormal in running. The detail of Linux command is as follow:
bin/coremail start | stop | restart servername | shutdown

What does the administrator do after fogetting password?
- The default user is admin, and the password will be set when installing system. Please keep this user name and password in mind.
You can use this username and password to log in Webmail and all management interface. If you can't log in, please confirm the user name and password are correct. - If you find the management interface can not be modified because of permission denied, you can use system tool userutil to modify the interface. Please refer to "The guideline of system tool" for detail.
- If the methods above do not work, please contact Coremail customer service.
Why can't I send mails?
These are the otential reasons:- The wrong DNS settings cause the failure of sending mail. This situation is common. Please check whether the settings of DNS server and the server are valid.
- It happens because of the failure of network and firewall. Please use command ping in mail server to check whether the connection with external machine is normal.
- It happens because of the failure of other party's mail system. Please use command telnet to check whether the SMTP port (Port 25) of external mail server is normal.
- Human error. This reason is easy to be ignored, and please check the recipient's Email address and try to select other recepients to find out the problems.
- The settings of client software is incorrect. If you use Outlook and Foxmail to send mails, please check server address, username and password of these email clients and ensure you have selected "My server need verification."
- Other reasons. If you do not have the problems above, please contact Coremail customer service.
- The users send spams and the system accumulates many mails, which causes the inodes of disk are full. (The message for failure report is Internal Server Error.)
- If the end of recipients' address adds an extra space, the recipient can not receive mails but the system reminds the mail has been sent and the email doesn't bounce.(The system ignore space in English but regard it as a part of address in Chinese.)
- In Outlook, if the user do not fill the field of sender with the right user's address, he/she can not send mail. (The system report for failure:553 You are not authorized to send mail, authentication is required) In Anti-spam management, you can set "Allow" of "Whether you allow authorization user is different from the sender" after you click "Advanced settings-Global settings-Advanced settings".
Why can't I receive mails?
These are potential reasons:- You do not have address of public network. The external mail server can not connect to your server.
- Your SMTP port(Port 25) reject external connection.
- The domain of mail system must have been registered, and domains and this exchanging record of this domain (MX records) must have DNS resolution. MX must point to server address of mail system. You can contact domain service of mail system to ask them to assist to set DNS and MX record. You can refer to related books and seach the pages about this.
- The failure of network or block firewall. Please try to use command telnet to check SMTP port (Port 25) of your mail system in outside network.
- The failure of other party's mail server. If you can receive mails from other sites but mails from certain station, it is possible that the mail server of this site failed.
- The sender entered incorrect mail address. We met the similar situation. Like add an extra space in Chinese. You can ask sender to provide the bounce letter to Coremail customer service to find out problems.
- Trigger the local rules. If you ensure that the mail is not a spam or a virus mail. You can ask sender to save mail as compression file to send again. If it does not work,please ask sender provide the bounce letter to Coremail customer service to find out problems.
- Misuderstanding. You set auto-forward and not save in local disk. Then these mails will not be saved in your mailbox. Please check your settings of auto-forward whether you use email clients to POP mails and no backup. These mails also will not save your mailbox.
- Other reasons. If you do not have the problems above, please contact Coremail customer service.
- The compressed files sent by sender is too large. And the recipient open the anti-virus. It will cost more time when when scanning the compressed files. If the default timeout time of anti-virus is somhow short, the recipients can not receive mails because timeout.
- The user sets auto-forward but does not save mails to local disk.
- The number of maxrcupt exceeds the limit, many users can not receive mails by group sending.
- The ns resolution domain is invalid. If the dns of server is changed, please restart deliveragent. The methods are as follow:/home/coremail/bin/coremail restart deliveragent.
- Mails are rejected, because of too many "Similar" mail. If anti-spam system has been installed, you can set these values and filter mails within internal site. (Path: Anti-spam management - Advanced settings - Global settings - Advanced settings - Fingerprint counter filter threshold settings)
- The score judged by intelligent filter is too high.
- The mail is rejected by user settings.
- The mail is rejected by keyword rule of system settings.
- The mail is rejected by blacklist of system settings.
Why can't I pop mails from server?
These are potential reasons:- Incorrect email clients settings. Please check your clients whether they are in the correct server address, usename and password.
- Network failure or firewall block. Please try to use command telnet in user's machine to check POP3 port(Port 110) of connected server.
- Other reasons. If there is no problem after checking above, please contact Coremail customer service.
What should I do when I fail to login Webmail?
These are potential reasons:- Username and password are incorrect. The Webmail page reminds "Fail to validate, please check your usename and password carefully."
- Fail to operate mailbox after logging in. Please check the pop out messages, like "FS_code", it means corresponding service of system is abnormal. The corresponding service needs to be restarted to put it right.Restarting steps:
- Enter command controller (execute command cmd in Windows)
- Enter into folder about [Installing folder/bin]
- Execute command coremail restart servername

What should I do when I fail to login Webadmin and the interface reminds "The system is busy, please contact administrator."?
If you can not log in the management interface and message reminds that the system is busy, please contact administrator, you can also try to restart by using some service in system (Taking tomcat as an example):- Use command tool to stop tomcat service

Why does the system receive many spams?
These are potential reasons:- Users make their mail addresses public. If user public their addresses, they are easy to be catched by spam sender and more easier to be the recipients of spams;
- The anti-spam mail system is not the latest version. Coremail use new filter technology to handle increasing spams. If your system still uses the old anti-spam mail system, maybe it can not resist the attack from the latest spams. Please contact commercial business to upgrate the latest anti-spam mail system;
- The system does not process latest LiveUpdate. Coremail anti-spam mail system provides 24 hours LiveUpdate which contains fingerprint feature database upgrade and it is helpful to resist new spam. If your system does not buy anti-spam mail system upgrating service, please contact commercial business to buy this service;
- The system does not enable anti-spam mail system service. Please log in anti-spam management interface to check. Please refer to "Coremail XT anti-spam management guideline"; you can set the content to enhance the ability of system resisting spams:
- Set ip blacklist to filter spam from certain ip;
- Set content filter rule to filter spams contain certain content.
How to tell whether the mails are malicious or not?
- There is no recipients and subject in mail.
- The address of bounce letter is not completed. The virus will be detected and eliminate by the system if the sender and the recipient are sending normal message.
What should I do when I can not figure out the content of bounce letter?
There are some types of bounce letters and the messages in them are similar:- The sender is invalid. The message includes invalid address, User unknown and user is not found. Please check whether Email address of recipients is right and try to send again.
- Could not find mail system server. And the message prompts that "Sorry, I couldn't find any host named sian.com".In most situation,it is probable that you enter wrong domain, for example, @sina.com is written as sian.com. If you do not make mistake in writing, it is probable that your system have something wrong with connection with others mail system. Please try to check according to methods of Question 4. And please contact other party's administrator for problems about mail system.
- The mailbox is full. The messages of bounce letter generally are Quota exceed or receiptor's mailbox is full, because your mailbox has exceeded the limit of system, you can only ask other party to delete some mails to release some space to receive your mails;
- Other party's server rejects the mails you send. Bounce letter generally are 552 Error: content rejected, this message means other party's mail server reject your mails. Please try other ways to contact other party's mail system administrator for understanding and describing situation and relieve the limit of their mail server. If you do need to send mails urgently, you can try other mail server accounts to send mail;
- The size of mail you send exceeds the scope of other party's mail. The messages of bounce letter generally are 552 Message size exceeds fixed limit, this message means some mail system limit user only receive specified size of mail. It means your mail is too large and the mail system is not allowed to accept. Please resize your mail and send it again;
- Other party's server is busy. The messages of bounce letter generally are that the system fail to build SMTP connection: Sorry,I wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection.(#4.4.1)or 550 System is busy. This message means that other party's server is busy and can not respond your mail receiving request. In this condition, you can try to send this mail again. Once their server is normal, mails can be received by them.
- Listed in rbl, xbl blacklist (The client can apply to delete ip in spamhaus website according to tips. )
